A number of evenings back, we went kayaking. Summer days are very hot in Florida so we began at 6:30 pm. It's still very hot when you introduce however gradually cools down off as the sun starts to slide down behind the mangrove trees. We consumed a very early dinner, loaded the kayaks on the car, positioned all the equipment in the trunk and drove the short range east on Manatee Opportunity to Palma Sola Bay. We parked on the appropriate hand side of the road, did the kayak and gear loading backwards, and also pushed our kayaks out in the bay.

We found an additional opening in the mangroves and pressed through, branches scraping at our faces. It was attractive and also peaceful, really peaceful. A few blue herons learnt the shallows; two white egrets enjoyed us from a reduced branch. I captured site of a little pink and after that viewed its owner, a roseate spoonbill. We picked up lunch on a small bit of sand and saw sand crabs sprinting in every instructions.
